“I feel like I just got a million dollars’ worth of guidance!” That’s what one artist commented after downloading the Work of Art toolkit.

Created by the artist-led staff at Springboard for the Arts, Work of Art: Business Skills for Artists is a curriculum on practical business skills, designed to ground artists of all disciplines in fundamental planning and strategy resources. Starting with Career Planning, and covering topics like Pricing, Marketing and Business Plans, this free curriculum contains templates, tips and resources to help artists succeed.

Since the toolkit was launched in 2015, it has been downloaded over 2,500 times, and used by artists for individual study, for self-supporting artist groups, by arts organizations for public workshops, and integrated into curriculums at Gonzaga University, Idaho State University, Kent State University, the Thomas Kenan Institute for the Arts at the University of North Carolina, and others.
