Embedded Content

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the Site:

  • Stripe — processes payments for paid memberships and subscriptions on the Site. When you subscribe to a paid membership, Stripe collects and processes your payment information, including credit card number, billing address, and transaction details. Hyperallergic does not store your full credit card information — it is handled directly by Stripe. Stripe may also collect your IP address and browser information for fraud prevention.   • Outpost (Outpost Pub Cooperative) — provides membership management, automated email communications (welcome, renewal, cancellation), tip jar/donation processing, intelligent calls-to-action, and content recommendation tools for the Site. When you fill out a form, the data you submit is collected and stored by Tally on our behalf on servers in the European Union. Tally may also collect technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Data Storage and Retention

Our Site is hosted on Ghost(Pro) servers in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. By using the Site, you consent to the transfer and storage of your data on these servers.
We retain your personal information for as long as your account or subscription is active, or as needed to provide our services. Member records — including email addresses, IP addresses, and approximate geolocation — are retained in our database for as long as the membership exists. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data unless we are required to retain it for legal or administrative purposes.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you at any time by contacting us at the address below. Depending on your jurisdiction, you may also have the right to:

Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed at anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.
