Boston Center for the Arts (BCA) and Bodega team up to present the fifth Boston Art Book Fair, a free, all-ages weekend celebrating art, text, print, and the myriad ways artists find expression through — and push the definition of — these forms. This much anticipated annual event invites active participation, engages all the senses, and has the goal of connecting art with community as broadly as possible.
Get the first look at amazing artist books and much more from over 140 exhibitors from around the world during the 21+ Boston Art Book Fair Preview Party on Friday, November 10, from 6 to 9pm. Celebrate with artists, publishers, independent presses, zines, bookmakers, creative print projects, and more while enjoying interactive cut-paper animation from Gif-O-Graf, an immersive seating installation by Limited Time Engagement, on-site unique tote customizing by Frank “The Butcher” Rivera’s The Dept. of Public Peace Works, and limited edition artwork by Boston Art Book Fair 2023 exhibiting artist Chen Luo; all with great food and beverages, set in an iconic space with a DJ set by resident Soulelujah DJ Johnny Stevens. Get your Preview Party tickets!
The fair is free, all-ages, and open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, November 11 and 12. Don’t miss this celebration of counter-culture in printed materials, innovative arts, radical design, hot-off-the-press collectibles, and everything in between with workshops to match.
