This year’s edition of Asia NOW is centered around the idea of Sentimental Value: a form of value shaped by what we inherit, what we encounter, and what we choose to carry forward. It is this idea that informs the the 12th edition of Asia NOW, crafting a space not simply of transaction, but of relationships, community, continuity.

For more than a decade, Asia NOW has worked to transcend the boundaries that have long defined Asia. Rooted in a vision of championing contemporary art from Asia and its diasporas, the fair continues to question the ways of unconventional art fairs, moving beyond its function as a marketplace or incubator. Instead, it creates a space for new perspectives to emerge, proposing Asia no simply as a geography but as a methodology.

To decenter Asia is to champion the idea of Global Asias. The region is not fixed, nor can it be  understood through one history, one geography, or one cultural lens. It is made through exchanges, migrations, and relationships that continuously reshape its borders. Asia NOW has grown within this complexity, creating a kind of kinship where different practices and perspectives can coexist, intersect, and challenge one another.

Bringing together leading galleries, artists, and curators from across the region, while connecting artistic voices from Asia and its diasporas with the international art community in Paris and beyond, Asia NOW foregrounds the distinct conditions from which these practices emerge through programs, creating space for meaningful exchange across cultures.

The fair is not simply a meeting point between Asia and the world; it is a space in which those relationships are continuously negotiated and, expanded, and reimagined.

Over the years, Asia NOW has fostered lasting connections with galleries, artists, and institutions — relationships that return each year, carrying new ideas, practices, and perspectives with them. For its 12th edition, galleries including Esther Schipper (Paris and Berlin), Kaikai Kiki Gallery (Tokyo), Sabrina Amrani (Madrid), Loy Contemporary (Singapore), and The Drawing Room (Manila) reinforce the depth and continuity of the fair’s international network.

At the same time, this edition, Asia NOW welcomes galleries participating for the first time, including Sapzio Nobile (Russia), Pao Hui Kao, Did Ng Wing Yin, VER Gallery (Bangkok), Double Square (Taipei), and Lux Feminae (New York). In dialogue with the wider international art landscape, and with Venice still resonating, Tala (Chicago) presents never-before-seen works by Jon Cuyson, who represented the Philippines at the Venice Biennale, alongside THE Gallery, presenting works by, among others, Nomin Bold, the artist featured at the Mongolian Pavilion.

Additionally, the Asia NOW Public Programme is key aspect of the fair that offers performances, talks, and cross-cultural conversations that extend the fair beyond the exhibition space. This year, the Public Programme will feature key performances by Wayang Women, Samboleap Tol, and Berlin-based Filipino artist Alvin Collantes, alongside a project by Dr. Sara Raza and contributions from Indonesian curator Alia Swastika, Director of the of the Biennale Jogja Foundation.

The Third Space is a new section of Asia NOW presenting installation works, moving-image works, and visual art as a parcours throughout La Monnaie de Paris, extending the fair beyond the booth into the building’s corridors, vestibules, and intersectional spaces. Launched in 2025, the section continues to grow as a space where galleries present work in dialogue with one of Paris’s most visually-striking historic landmarks.

Asia NOW 2026 will take place October 20 – 24, 2026 at the Monnaie de Paris, with an invitation-only preview on October 19.
