A historically significant graveyard containing 1,500 bodies has been discovered at a redevelopment site in Osaka’s Kita Ward.
Johnny Waldman was born in Brooklyn but moved to Japan a year later. He spent the first 18 years of his life growing up in Tokyo. He returned to the U.S. for college where he studied art and art history. He writes about Japanese art and design at Spoon & Tamago and is also an art consultant specializing in Asian art.
