An ad takeover helps a new wave of anti-billboard activists raise awareness about the value of public space.

Jordan Seiler
Jordan's artistic, activist, and intellectual work is an investigation into the role commercial media plays in our public spaces, and what that says about our social priorities. He creates works that illegally replace outdoor advertising, organizes large scale civil disobedience projects that attempt to turn citizens into complicit activists through direct participation, programs Augmented Reality mobile apps that use public advertising infrastructure to create digital gallery spaces, and forges and distributes the tools needed for others to participate in similar civil disobedience.
