Joshua Gomez is a PhD student in art history at the University of Illinois Chicago. He received his Master’s degree in art history, concentrating on Mexican colonial art. His research and writing focus on representations of women throughout Latin America with interests in print culture, social deviance, and anti-colonial resistance movements.
