The Queens Arts Fund awards project grants between $1,000 and $5,000 to organizations and collectives and $3,000 to artists for the production of new work.
Tanya Aguiñiga, Amalia Mesa-Bains, and Vincent Valdez are among the recipients of this year’s grants, funded by the Ford and Mellon Foundations.
The organization will give $250,000 to women-identifying artists over 18 in addition to its annual awards to women over 40.
Kenneth Tam, Kiyan Williams, and Victor Murillo are among the recipients.
