This October, Experience Refract: The Seattle Glass Experience
Seattle’s glass festival returns with milestone anniversaries, fresh art, parties, demos, exhibits, and open studios with the vibrant theme Year of Celebration.
Seattle’s glass art festival is back in 2026, and this year is all about celebrating the people, places, and creative milestones that make our glass community shine. Now in its eighth year, the festival arrives during huge milestones for the region: Seattle Glassblowing Studio turns 35, Pratt Fine Arts Center celebrates 50 years of shaping artists, and Chihuly Studio marks a meaningful return to Venice after three decades. These anniversaries aren’t just numbers; they’re a reminder of how deeply glass is woven into Seattle’s identity.
To honor these major moments, the 2026 festival is themed “A Year of Celebration,” with programming to match. Expect art parties, live demos that bring visitors right into the heat of the furnace, special exhibits that spotlight both legacy and innovation, and open studios to explore the spaces where creativity starts. It’s hands-on, immersive, and designed to evoke connection to the artists behind the work.
The 2026 festival is shaping up to be one of the most vibrant yet. This is the year to show up, share the moment, and be part of Seattle’s glass story.
