Dan Mills is an artist and museum director/curator. Cartography, methods of visualizing information, current events, and satire are some of the subjects that captivate him. He has had solo shows in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, and at academic museums and galleries throughout the US. Recent group exhibitions include Crooked Data: (Mis)Information in Contemporary Art, University of Richmond Museums; Ideologue, Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, Salt Lake City; and Dissident Futures, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Francisco; His book, The US Future States Atlas was published by Perceval Press, Santa Monica in 2009. He lives and works in Maine, where he directs the Bates College Museum of Art.
