The exhibition includes scores by John Cage and Morton Feldman, paintings by Philip Guston, sculpture and works on paper by Louise Bourgeois and David Smith, and oil paintings by Joan Mitchell.

Daniel Fox is a composer and a mathematician currently in the doctoral program for composition and musicology at the Graduate Center, CUNY. His writing has appeared in Title Magazine, Perspectives of New Music, and Transactions of the American Mathematical Society and his compositions have been performed by Either/Or and the Momenta Quartet. His musical interests revolve around materiality.

Training for a Marathon String Quartet at the Cloisters
On Saturday, the Calder Quartet will perform Morton Feldman’s five-hour String Quartet No. 2 in the Fuentidueña Chapel at the Cloisters.
