Maria Antonella Pelizzari (PhD) is Professor of Art History in the Department of Art and Art History of Hunter College and the Graduate Center, The City University of New York, where she teaches courses on the History of Photography. Her research focuses on photography as a form of visual culture in dialogue with nation-building.
