WEST JERUSALEM — In retrospect, we were complacent. We thought that the opposition would fade away by the time of the event, or at most, the action would amount to a polite protest vigil.
Yonatan Amir & Ronen Eidelman
Yonatan Amir is an art critic, lecturer and co-founder and co-editor of Erev-Rav, the independent leading online art and culture magazine in Hebrew since 2010. Amir has been writing art critics for various newspapers, magazines, and catalogues since 2004. He teaches history of Israeli Art, Museology and contemporary art in Shenkar College, Sapir College, and Pardes Art School. Amir graduated from Bezalel Academy of art and design, and studied also in the department of culture studies and center for German studies at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem.
Ronen Eidelman is an artist, writer and cultural producer based In Jerusalem. Co-founder and co-editor of Erev-Rav. Previously was editor of Ma'arav arts and culture magazine in Hebrew and English for eight years. In 2008, Eidelman was awarded an MFA at the program for Public Art and New Artistic Strategies at Bauhaus University in Weimar, Germany. Eidelman has participated in exhibitions and festivals worldwide, founded and edited over five cultural, art and political journals/magazines, and created many events linking art, culture and grassroots politics. For over the last ten years, he has been active in social and political change groups and makes a living also as a graphic designer. Recently won the Creative Encouragement Award from Israel Ministry of Culture for 2014.
