This week, the annual College Arts Association (CAA) Conference comes back to New York for a week of talks, workshops, gallery tours, receptions, and more. The Conference takes place from February 13 through 16 and will feature over 300 sessions that cover a wide array of subjects on a number of global issues.

“A significant number of panels focused on Latin American and Asian art,” said Charlene Villaseñor Black, Professor of Ibero-American Art and Chicana/o Studies at UCLA and CAA Annual Conference Chair. “The coverage of US art was inclusive, with submissions highlighting Latinx, African American, Native American, and LGBTQ artists.”

For instance, one of Hyperallergic’s editors, Seph Rodney, is hosting a workshop titled “How to Work with an Editor” this Thursday at 3:30 pm. Another Hyperallergic editor, Yasmeen Siddiqui, along with Hyperallergic contributor Alpesh Kantilal Patel, will host a roundtable discussion called “A Reckoning with the Recent Future of Art Historical Knowledge Production” on Friday at 6 pm.
