The City of Covington, Kentucky, is seeking proposals for a public art installation in the heart of its new downtown along the Ohio River!

Public art gives communities identity and pride, establishes character and social cohesion, inspires creativity, and encourages interaction. With this in mind, the City of Covington seeks a landmark art installation to anchor its developing Covington Central Riverfront neighborhood, aka CCR.

The CCR was formerly home to an IRS processing facility and is being transformed into a neighborhood with a restored street grid, office, residential, retail, and public spaces. The chosen proposal will resonate with the broader Covington community, highlighting the new mixed-use project in the heart of the downtown riverfront area. Fabrication and installation will be covered by the Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr. Foundation, and the chosen artist will receive a $5,000 award.

Applications are due by June 1, 2025.
