This spring, Powerhouse Arts presents the inaugural edition of CONDUCTOR: Art Fair of the Global Majority, a new international art fair spotlighting artists and galleries from across Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, South Asia, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Oceania, and Indigenous Nations worldwide.

Taking place in Brooklyn from April 30 through May 3, 2026 (with a VIP Opening on April 29), the fair brings together 27 gallery exhibitors and 17 special projects, offering an expansive platform for artists whose work is shaping the future of contemporary art.

Curated by Fair Director Adriana Farietta in collaboration with Powerhouse Arts President Eric Shiner, CONDUCTOR reflects a shared vision to expand access, representation, and cultural exchange within the global art ecosystem.

“Through CONDUCTOR, we seek to celebrate pluralism from across the world’s most vibrant regions,” says Farietta. “The art world is a more vibrant place when it makes space for a new vanguard of artistic talent from across the globe.”

Visitors will encounter a dynamic range of painting, sculpture, installation, and interdisciplinary practices from galleries including Galería Extra (Guatemala City), Bockley Gallery (Minneapolis), Brihatta Art Foundation (Dhaka), Mazzucchelli/Cardoso (São Paulo), Gladwell Projects (New York), and WhereArt.Works (Saudi Arabia), among others.

The fair’s Special Projects section will present ambitious large-scale installations and mixed-media works that invite deeper engagement with global histories, identities, and cultural narratives.

Beyond the exhibitions, visitors can explore a robust Conversation Series, bringing together artists, curators, and cultural leaders for dialogue on contemporary art and its role in a changing global landscape.

Hosted within Powerhouse Arts’ Grand Hall and Loft, the fair invites collectors, curators, artists, and art enthusiasts alike to discover emerging voices and internationally recognized practitioners in one dynamic setting. Be among the first to experience this landmark debut and engage with the next generation of global contemporary art.
