Residencies, Workshops, & Fellowships

Center for Craft – 2026 Craft Archive Fellowship
Four $5,000 awards will be offered to fellows conducting research on underrepresented craft histories. The fellowship will culminate with a featured article on Hyperallergic and a virtual program hosted by the Center for Craft. Read more on Hyperallergic.

Oak Spring Garden Foundation - Fellowship for Distinction in Fine Crafts and Design
The fellowship will be awarded to an early-career craftsperson or designer whose work meaningfully engages with the natural world. It includes a $10,000 grant and a two- to five-week stay at OSGF in Northern Virginia.

Provincetown Art Association and Museum - Robert Motherwell & Renate Ponsold Fellowship
A one-year, low-residency program that supports scholars conducting original research on the visual art and artists of Outer Cape Cod.

Open Calls for Art & Writing

The Bennett Prize – 2026/2027 Award Cycle
For women figurative realist painters. The grand prize winner receives $75,000 and a solo exhibition. The first runner-up receives $10,000. A five-person jury will select 10 finalists to be featured in a group exhibition that will travel the US. The application fee is $50. Read more on Hyperallergic.

Pine Meadow Ranch Center for Arts & Agriculture (PMRCAA) - 2027 Residency Program
PMRCAA invites artists, scholars, and scientists to investigate the fundamentals of their practice and explore the theme of Process and Material on a working ranch in Central Oregon, with access to studios, open spaces, and the surrounding scenery.

Wassaic Project – 2026 Haunted Barn Open Call
Bring your zaniest, spookiest ideas to life at a fully funded one- to four-week residency to transform the Luther Barn, home of the Wassaic Project Summer Studios, into a PG-13 haunted experience. The application fee is $25.

Grants & Awards

Jonathan and Barbara Silver Foundation – 2026 Grant for Writing on Sculpture
The foundation will award one $20,000 grant to a writer who demonstrates a serious commitment to writing about sculpture, through fresh thinking on the history, aesthetics, purposes, imagination and/or situation of sculpture.

Academy of American Poets – James Laughlin Award
The winning poet receives $5,000, an all-expenses-paid weeklong residency in Miami Beach, and distribution of their book to approximately 1,000 Academy of American Poets members.

VIA Art Fund – Artistic Production Grants
Accepting letters of inquiry from artists, nonprofits, and institutions for $25,000–$100,000 to support commissions outside museum or gallery walls, within the public realm, or in non-traditional exhibition environments.
