ArtFields — 2027 Festival Call for Artists
Southern artists: compete for $100K+ in prizes at the 2027 ArtFields Festival in Lake City, SC, or propose large-scale public art. Visual Art Competition Fee: $25; No fee for large-scale public art proposals

Manhattan-based individual artists, collectives, and non-profit organizations working across all artistic disciplines, backgrounds and neighborhoods are invited to apply for project and/or unrestricted grant support!

Tallichet Freedman Foundation — 2026 TTFF Micro Grant Cycle
Visual artists who live or work in Queens (ZIP code 11385) can apply for one of 10 unrestricted $3,000 microgrants. Each grantee will receive a filmed studio interview documenting their work and practice, as well as support through TTFF’s hyper-local program.

Asian Cultural Council – 2027 Fellowships & Grants

Loewe Foundation – Craft Prize
To raise awareness of the work of talented craftspeople, this prize awards an individual €50,000 in recognition of excellence, artistic merit, and innovation in craft, in all its forms.

Open Calls
apexart — 2027-28 NYC Open Call
Accepting 500-word proposals for group exhibitions presented at apexart in 2027-28. Five winning exhibitions receive up to 10K budget. All with a compelling group exhibition idea are encouraged to apply.

Postcards From the Edge — A Benefit for Visual AIDS
Donate one original 4 × 6 artwork. Every work is exhibited anonymously and sold for $100 to support Visual AIDS — and the artist’s identity is revealed only after purchase.

The Image Centre — Photography Research Fellowships
In 2027, six fellowships of $4,000–$70,000 CAD will support research projects on The Image Centre’s photography collections. Open to students, scholars, and artists.

Millay Arts — Core & Steepletop Residencies
Dive deep into your creative process alongside a curated cohort of multidisciplinary artists in an inspirational setting. Stays include groceries, chef-prepared suppers, private bedrooms/studios.

Arts + Public Life — 2027 Chicago Critic’s Table
This four-month paid fellowship is for emerging Chicago cultural critics to develop their voice, expand their audience, and build a network. The program aims to broaden who is considered a critic and expand the audience for South Side artists and cultural scenes.

American-Scandinavian Foundation: Fellowships for Americans – 2026/2027 Award Cycle
The American-Scandinavian Foundation (ASF) offers long term (4-12 months) fellowships of up to $23,000 and short term (1-3 months) fellowships of up to $5,000 to individuals interested in pursuing research or creative-arts projects in the Nordic region.

Harry Ransom Center – 2027–2028 Fellowships
The center will award up to 50 funded fellowships to support on-site archival projects across various disciplines at the University of Texas at Austin’s humanities research library and museum. Read more on Hyperallergic.

Provincetown Art Association and Museum — Robert Motherwell & Renate Ponsold Fellowship
A one-year, low-residency program that supports scholars conducting original research on the visual art and artists of Outer Cape Cod.

Smithsonian American Art Museum — 2027–2028 Research Fellowships
Residential fellowships at SAAM support full-time, independent research on US art, craft, and visual culture. Appointments are available at graduate, predoctoral, postdoctoral, and senior levels.

A.I.R. Gallery — The A.I.R. Fellowship Program for Emerging and Underrepresented Women and Non-Binary Artists
Six NYC-based emerging artists will be awarded a first solo exhibition, professional development programming, curatorial support, and mentorship during a 12-month fellowship that runs September – August.
