Support You Are Listening To's Push for an iPhone App

LOS ANGELES — Remember the cool You Are Listening To web site I recommended you check out? Founder Eric Eberhardt emailed me to let me know he’s launching a Kickstarter project to get an iPhone app developed and out the door. Not only that, he’s added a dozen other cities, including Detroit, Philadelphia and Atlanta. (I’d love to simultaneously stream Baltimore and Portland.)

Eberhardt’s project is ambitious — $30,000 total to support to hire some “top-notch developers” — but fortunately he has a wide range of pledge options. One US dollar will get you a “URL2.LA Founder” badge for your site, and $15 gets you a downloadable mix album of the site’s greatest hits. Those who fork over $3,000 can get URL2.LA installed in a gallery or stage of their choice.

This latest initiative, along with other Kickstarter projects, can be found on Hyperallergic’s Kickstarter page.
