This week we’re sending you to a closing party in the Bronx, performance in Bushwick, a panel on Architectural criticism in the Village and the soon-to-be-opened 2012 Whitney Biennial on the Upper East Side. But don’t get stressed, since you can cleanse it all away with a final visit to Doug Wheeler’s art nerd Nirvana installation at David Zwirner. Ohm! Light and Space … Ohm!

Hurry, hide … this weekend Bushwick will be changing forever! If it’s not the invasion by Chelsea’s Luhring Augustine Gallery, then it’s the Chelsea show by a loooong list of Bushwick artists. Or maybe nothing will change but we suggest you take your medicine anyway.

This week’s prescription includes a couple of group shows to booster your immunity, an exhibition of indie music videos that will soothe your soul, a show by an artist into drawing little girls, a fashion week intervention, a Valentine’s Day-related show and a social media art panel that will make you feel a whole lot better.

This week, our first February prescription has something for those whose masculinity ails them in the form of two shows at the Brooklyn Museum. But don’t forget it’s Black History month, so we also offer up a healthy dose of African and African-American identity. And finally, the Queens International Biennial, which opens this week, will give you a great booster shot of emerging art that should get you through the week.

For this week’s Art Rx dig into shows at both galleries and museums, plus an art fair, The Outsider Art Fair. There’s also plenty to see (and eat) at MoMA PS1 this weekend and a show of comic books relating to Tibet at the Reuben Museum of Art that we are sure won’t disappoint.
