Center for Craft – 2024 Craft Archive Fellowship

American Folk Art Museum – Warren Family Curatorial Fellow
Upcoming shows, including a loan exhibition on the topic of “schoolgirl art” and early American girls’ education, are a central focus of this two-year fellowship. The salary range is $55,000–$60,000 annually.

Critical Design Lab Community Fellows – Labs for Liberation
The Critical Design Lab at Vanderbilt University seeks two fellows for a remote collaborative project between June 2024 and August 2025. Compensation is $50,000. Those with disabilities and experience with disability justice frameworks are encouraged to apply.

Morgan Library & Museum + Menil Collection – Morgan-Menil Fellowship 2024–25
Meant for independent research projects on drawing throughout the history of art, this three- to nine-month fellowship includes a monthly stipend of $3,880–$5,100, plus a modest allowance for travel between NYC and Houston, Texas.

Newberry Library – Artist-in-Residence Fellowships
The Newberry in Chicago is offering three different monthlong fellowships for visual and performing artists, writers, journalists, filmmakers, and other humanists. Each comes with a $3,000 stipend.

Smack Mellon – 2024–25 Artist Studio Program
Six NYC-based emerging or early career artists working in all visual arts media will receive a free private studio space (accessible 24/7) in Dumbo, Brooklyn, and a fellowship (dependent on funding).

Locust Projects – 2023 Project Room Open Call
Artists around the world can apply for the opportunity to create ambitious, large-scale work in the Miami organization’s new space. Those selected will receive a production budget of up to $5,000, a $3,100 artist fee, and more.

Shelley & Donald Rubin Foundation – Curatorial Open Call
Curators, academics, and art historians are invited to stage an exhibition at the foundation’s gallery and event space in NYC. One applicant will be given a $3,000 honorarium plus $2,000 for their essay in the accompanying catalogue.

Visual AIDS – Postcards From the Edge
Donate an original, postcard-sized artwork to this benefit supporting artists living with HIV. Postcards will be featured in an exhibition at Berry Campbell Gallery and sold for $100 each starting January 20, 2024.

Adolph & Esther Gottlieb Foundation – 2024 Individual Support Grants

Not Real Art – 2024 Not Real Art Grant
US-based visual artists working in any 2D/3D medium can submit their work for free to this competition. Six applicants will receive a no-strings-attached cash award of $2,000, plus PR and marketing support.

MAP Fund
The 2024 grant cycle will provide more than 90 new live performances in the US with $31,000: $25,000 for project funds, $5,000 for unrestricted general operations, and a $1,000 microgrant to redistribute to another artist in their community.

Queens Art Fund
Queens-based artists, collectives, and small nonprofits can apply for $1,000–$5,000 grants to support the local production of artwork and cultural programs that highlight, engage, and bolster the borough’s communities.

VIA Art Fund – Spring 2024 Artistic Production Grant
Grants of $25,000–$100,000 fund the production and exhibition of new artistic commissions. Artists must send a letter of inquiry for the chance to receive an invitation to submit a full application.
