Thanks for Last Night: 6-Month Anniversary & Launch Party

Thanks to everyone who came out for our informal six-month anniversary celebration, which quickly became a big ol’ party at our rather new Williamsburg office.

Thanks to everyone who came out for our informal six-month anniversary celebration, which quickly became a big ol’ party at our Williamsburg office. While Paddy Johnson didn’t make balloon animals, there was food, drinks, balloons, artist-made music videos, and Perrier galore from our pioneering sponsor.

We are thankful for our regular writers and occasional contributors who were able to make the fete, including Brent Burket, Nicole Caruth, Sam Horine, Olympia Lambert, Tim McCool, Nick Riggle, Amy Shaw, Sarah Walko, An Xiao, and possibly @MuseumNerd — we’re not quite sure.

Thank you to all our readers and supporter who joined us for a special night to cheer our small milestone. And here’s to bigger and better in the year ahead.

Also, a special thank you to our first six months of sponsors: Perrier, Pernod Absinthe, Artcards.cc, Vartali, Materials for the Arts, Mattress Factory, Momenta Art, Tyler School of Art, and our upcoming sponsors the Escape From New York exhibition and Hunter MFA Thesis Exhibition. Thanks for believing in the work we do and helping make Hyperallergic possible. And thanks to William Sterling Walker for acting as the unofficial photographer during the evening.

We had a piece of paper in our vintage typewriter welcoming everyone to the space and some people took the liberty of adding a few words to the original text … we thought it was a lovely thing to discover post-party. (click to enlarge)
