New York Academy of Art Presents “Chubb Fellows & Friends”
Featuring past fellows alongside a broader circle of artists linked to the Academy, the show brings together work by Danica Lundy, Dana Schutz, Tschabalala Self, Amy Sherald, and more.
Organized by the Green Family Art Foundation in Dallas and curated by Katherine Delony, Chubb Fellows & Friends showcases artistic achievement shaped by the New York Academy of Art’s rigorous training and commitment to studio practice. The exhibition brings together works by past Chubb Fellows alongside a broader circle of alumni, faculty, and artists deeply linked to the school, highlighting a community united by mastery of technique and pursuit of contemporary innovation.
While building their collection, the Green family discovered that many artists they admired were affiliated with the New York Academy of Art. Several had been awarded the Academy’s Chubb Fellowship, a recognition for alumni demonstrating exceptional skill and vision. This discovery revealed a clear connection: the Academy’s approach to training consistently produces artists who resonate with the Foundation’s sensibilities. Chubb Fellows & Friends was conceived to honor this convergence and give it public expression. Whether through painting, drawing, sculpture, or mixed media, the featured artists share a lineage rooted in acute observation, anatomical rigor, and the belief that mastery of the fundamentals is a catalyst for creative evolution.
Featured artists include: Trey Abdella, Lydia Baker, Ali Banisadr, Amy Bennett, Cecily Brown, Manuela Caicedo, Claudio Cecchetti, Chloe Chiasson, Daisy Dodd-Noble, Tracey Emin, Eric Fischl, Elizabeth Glaessner, Alonsa Guevara, Sally J Han, Austin Harris, Elyse Hradecky, Michael Kagan, Danica Lundy, Maud Madsen, Kylie Manning, Hannah Murray, Arcmanoro Niles, Anna Park, Luján Pérez Hernández, Jane Philips, Naudline Pierre, Audrey Rodriguez, Laura Romaine, Jenny Saville, Sarah Schlesinger, Dana Schutz, Tschabalala Self, Amy Sherald, Kylee Snow, Benjamin Staker, and Brendan Sullivan.
