Oh, brother. Artist Scott LoBaido is “disgusted by the constant bashing of Catholicism” by a “publicly funded institute,” so he decided to haul his painting of a naked Brooklyn Museum director Arnold Lehman and a toilet to said institution and filmed it!

Best line from the “no real moment to make him internet famous” video, “I’m an artist, what’s wrong with that?”

According to Staten Island Live:

This wasn’t LoBaido’s first demonstration at the museum.

The artist made a scene back in 2001 in protest of a show of contemporary black photographers, which featured a controversial photomural entitled “Yo Mama’s Last Supper.”

He was also busted in October 1999 for hurling manure at the museum building to protest the exhibit “Sensation” although the charges were later dropped. LoBaido said he supported artistic expression, but not when public funds are used to advocate what he perceived to be anti-Catholic sentiment.

If you want to peruse the artist’s website, you may be interested to see his patriotism gallery. No comment.

No word about his thoughts on the constant bashing of LGBT people by Catholicism.
