We're Off to Miami!
Why haven't we been posting much recently? Well, the short answer is MIAMI! Yes, we're off to the fairs and we're bringing you along with us. Expect many musings from the front lines of the art world's greatest clusterfuck.
Things have been slow here on Hyperallergic since we’re preparing for a week-long trip to Miami for the annual art world mating ritual known as the art fairs.
I can’t imagine a better way to spend a week than schmoozing, shilling and sashaying with immoral art dealers, desperate artists, and bored art collectors (or at least we hope to track some down).
Not one to sit on the sidelines, Hyperallergic is getting involved:
- we’re sponsoring Art Burn 2009 as the event’s official blogazine, critic and beer sponsor (would you expect less from us);
- we have also been invited to take part in the Art Blogger panel at Art Miami this Saturday at 11 am (stop by and say hi if you’re around); and
- while in Miami we’ve joining forces (which means we’re sharing a room) with the ever delightful Paddy Johnson of Art Fag City and … needless to say … expect shenanigans to follow.
