We already chimed in about GO Brooklyn’s Top 10 nominees but now the field has been shaved to five artists who will be featured in an exhibition, which opens December 1, at the Brooklyn Museum.
These are the luck five:
- Adrian Coleman, Fort Greene, painting
- Oliver Jeffers, Boerum Hill, painting, illustration, and drawing
- Naomi Safran-Hon, Prospect Heights, painting
- Gabrielle Watson, Crown Heights, painting
- Yeon Ji Yoo, Red Hook, mixed media sculpture
What’s odd about this list? North Brooklyn, where the bulk of artists live, is not represented, but we’re keeping an open mind and can’t wait to see the show. Stay tuned.
