Film at Lincoln Center usually presents Art of the Real, its annual showcase for artistically forward-thinking nonfiction film, in the spring. This year, those plans were disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and so it’s only now that they’ve been able to put together the 2020 edition — naturally, via an online program. Notable selections this year include 143 Sahara Street, about a remote café in the Algerian desert; The American Sector, about disparate sections of the Berlin Wall around the world; and A Shape of Things to Come, a profile of a survivalist living alone in the Sonoran Desert.
