V&A Storehouse Workers Vote to Strike Over “Amazon-Style” Conditions

Unionized workers at the Victoria and Albert (V&A) East Storehouse, a publicly accessible museum storage site, have voted unanimously to strike over alleged "Amazon-style" working practices.
On Wednesday, July 29, all of the Storehouse employees who voted in a union ballot said they would go on strike, citing being "denied sufficient time during the day for toilet breaks or for drinks," according to a press release shared by Prospect, the union that represents them. The union is demanding that the museum give employees two paid breaks per day, a request it said the museum has failed to adopt.
